MOBJE 

Set among the picturesque slopes of Onomichi City and the Seto Inland Sea, founded in 2019, MOBJE’s origins began in 1948 as a renowned hat-making company. Due to changes in fashion trends and a need to upcycle raw materials, MOBJE was born to transform excess fabric into objets d’art and functional decor through its time-honored techniques. 

Made from locally produced raffia palm and Japanese washi paper, each expressive piece is handcrafted by experienced artisans and made complete by you by rearranging the shape to suit your space.

Care + Use: 

To remove dust, use a soft brush and wipe parallel to the seams of the material. If the product becomes stained, dilute a mild detergent in lukewarm water, then soak a washcloth in the solution, lightly wringing it out. Use a warm, clean wet cloth to remove detergent, then wipe off extra moisture with a dry cloth. 

Reshape the garment as you like and dry it in a shaded and well-ventilated area.
